Elevate Early Education, a statewide early education advocacy group with local roots, plans to build a multimillion-dollar center in Norfolk’s Park Place neighborhood, officials said Monday night.
The center, to be called The E3 School LLC, will sit near the YMCA on Granby Street and will use up to $10 million in philanthropic support. By demonstrating the long-term benefits of pre-K schooling, E3 President and CEO Lisa Howard said, officials hope the center will spur greater public investment in early childhood education.
